About me
Francesca Vaccari, Tango Salón dancer, starts studying classical ballet with the ballet mistress Maria Armanini in 1991.
At her 24 while living in Rome she discovers Argentinian Tango. Since the Italian capital city regularly receives many of the most important Argentinian Tango dancers, she takes the opportunity to observe and study from the very beginning with internationally known and resepcted teachers such as Sebastián Missé and Andrea Reyero, Sebastián Achával and Roxana Suárez, Roberta Beccarini and many others.
In 2011 she moves to Barcelona where she reveices her main training in Tango Salón from Joaquín Torres.
Between 2011 and 2017 she keeps on training and perfecting her skills both in Europe and Argentina with some of the currently most important teachers and artists (both from Salón and Stage) such as Sebastián Jiménez, Rubén and Sabrina Véliz, Natalia Hills and Alejandro Aquino, Elina Roldán, Verónica Salmerón, Francisco Forquera, Fernando Carrasco and Jimena Hoffner, Carolina Buenaventura, Sebastián Achával and Roxana Suárez among others.
In 2015 she is invited to teach regular classes in Aquelarre Tango, a former milonga and school in Barcelona led by Cecilia Berra and Carolina Mazzeo. The very next year she keeps on teaching Tango Salón and technique classes on a regular base in Maragata Club de Tango (ex Aquelarre).
In 2017 she opens her own studio in the heart of Barcelona, El Puntazo Estudio de Tango, with the aim of creating a structured educational offer, joining forces with renowned guest teachers who provide added value to this project.
Her teaching method is not only based on her own investigation of Tango, but also on the body consciousness achieved through the study of classical ballet and yoga during several years; moreover her former experience as a language teacher for non native speakers left her solid didactic concepts as a legacy.
